Founded in 2012 by Robert and Fify Manan, Rifyo emerged from the design passion of this husband-and-wife duo, recognising the demand for luxury and authentic products in Indonesia. The company places high value on designers’ product innovations, offering customers practical lifestyle solutions whilst maintaining an eco-conscious approach.

It all started with the business values established by the founder of the Manan Group, Erwin Manan, a master of crafting wood furniture and the father of Robert Manan. The values the father inherited to the son is the engine that Robert and his wife, Fify, drive in running Rifyo, which is a furnishing company under the Manan Group.
Three years after establishing a presence in the business, Rifyo in 2015 was appointed as Indonesia’s authorised dealer for Herman Miller. Within the first year of this partnership, the company furnished many large-scale projects for Fortune 500 companies, earning recognition as the Best Improved South East Asia Dealer in 2016.
In 2021 Herman Miller acquired Knoll and became MillerKnoll as the largest office furniture provider in the world. As a result, Herman Miller expanded from carrying 9 brands to 16 brands of MillerKnoll.
As the MillerKnoll dealer, Rifyo now carries all 16 brands including Herman Miller, Knoll, Hay, Muuto, CBS, Maars Living Walls, DatesWeiser, Geiger, Naughtone, Design Within Reach (DWR), Holly Hunt, Edelman, FilzFelt, Maharam, Knoll Textiles, and Spinneybeck. Outside MillerKnoll, Rifyo was also appointed as the Exclusive Dealer for world-renowned prestigious brands such as Shaw Contract, Ligne Roset, WalterKnoll, and USM. Catering primarily to modern offices, commercial spaces, high-end residences, five-star hotels, international schools, and hospitals, Rifyo continues to win prestigious projects in Indonesia, garnering the trust of global brands to represent them in the country.
“Rifyo’s range includes ergonomic chairs, modern sleek desks for office spaces, and beautifully designed furniture to elevate living spaces in well-designed homes,” Fify, the CEO, said of the company’s furniture offerings.
As Rifyo continues to grow and partner with renowned manufacturers and global brands, Fify asserted, “Our vision remains unchanged, which is to become a design quarter showcasing iconic, luxurious and authentic products in Indonesia.” Her assertion reflects the company’s commitment to offering solutions that stand the test of time.
Rifyo Design Quarter draws inspiration from a ‘tree house,’ featuring crisscrossing staircases within the interiors leading to a sculptural penthouse. The upper facade embodies a crown imagery forming the initial ‘M,’ symbolising the Manan family name. Designed by Cosmas Gozali, a well-known Indonesian architect, the quarter has been nominated and shortlisted for The World Architecture Festival 2023, which will be awarded in Singapore at the end of November 2023.
All the flooring materials that we use in the showroom came from Shaw Contract collection as the world’s largest flooring company, not just for their beautiful design, but also for the durability and environmental-friendly materials. All the glass wall partitions that we use came from Mars Living Walls, an adaptable and sustainable glass wall solution to meet current needs while anticipating changing needs in the future.
Rifyo Design Quarter serves as a hub for architects, interior designers, design and art communities, and a venue for clients to discover and purchase the finest modern design furniture.
Fify explained that the ground floor of Rifyo Design Quarter exhibits the collection of the most iconic and timeless designs. Influential and legendary designers such as Charles & Ray Eames, George Nelson, Florence Knoll, Alexander Girard, among others, have made significant historical contributions to the development of modern architecture and furniture. Their designs were not only focussed on the aesthetics of the furniture, but also provide comfort and functionality for the users and eventually becoming valuable as collection items for the users who own them.
On the mezzanine level, Rifyo displays HAY, a premium Scandinavian design brand from Denmark, appealing to the younger generation with its playful aesthetics and top-notch craftsmanship.
“The first floor functions as Rifyo’s head office,” explained Fify. “Here, we proudly exhibit the cutting-edge office furniture pieces within the innovative Living Office concept by MillerKnoll.” This concept, rooted in research-based insights and principles for workplace design, enabling you to empower your team and helping you to achieve your organisational objectives. At the end of the first floor, there is a C-Suite where the CEO Fify Manan has her daily meetings with the teams, equipped with a living room for entertaining special guests and a bedroom for her relaxation.
The second floor features commercial and residential areas, showcasing the best of Miller Knoll products. From lobbies to living rooms, outdoor spaces, dining areas, and boardrooms, this section features Herman Miller, Knoll, Muuto, NaughtOne, and CBS.
The design concept of the third floor embodies luxury, highlighting German and French collections by Walter Knoll and Ligne Roset. “This floor offers luxurious settings for executive premium desks, living rooms, and dining rooms,” added Fify, emphasising the prestige and luxury thoughtfully designed by prominent interior designer Roland Adam.
Soon, the Penthouse of Rifyo Design Quarter will be constructed using the garden house concept, with a breath-taking city view. The rooftop will serve as the heart of the building—a space for work, leisure, and social hangout. It will showcase Robert’s favourite pieces, reflecting the Chairman’s passion and visionary spirit as a culinary enthusiast, design aficionado, and social entrepreneur.
