More than 100 years ago, William James, a famed philosopher, came up with an opinion called the pragmatic theory of truth. One of his quotations is, “an idea, to be suggestive, must come to the individual with the force of revelation.” In light of this, the idea to marry two major themes: vintage, which is represented by industrial style, rustic finishing and colonial era, with contemporary, as reflected in the casual fine dining and molecular mixology theme, is somehow impossible to achieve. In order to realize the idea, an inspiration and a strong force of revelation is needed. Yet, in Colonial Cuisine & Molecular in Kemang Village all the elements mentioned above are brilliantly brought together to create something worth noticing.
