The Untold Stories of Tugu Hotels

Anhar Setjadibrata received his calling decades ago to salvage Indonesian antiques and artworks to preserve the country’s beguiling heritage. He managed to build his collection slowly but surely regardless of his status a student. As time went by, Anhar’s love for the country’s art and the collection that manifested with it became too big for one man alone. That is how Tugu Group and all the properties that embody the hotelier’s passion for Indonesia’s history came to be. Upon entering each Tugu hotel, spa or restaurant we are caught in a state of awe and wonder at the face of our country’s exotic and precious story. Here is how the love of one man flourished into an irreplaceable legacy.
