Lao Tze, a noted Chinese philosopher once said that ‘Silence is a source of great strength.’ From these wise words, we have to recognise that silence indeed has a profound meaning. Because from silence comes pure tranquility of the heart which allows a person to ponder and learn about the harmony between himself, God, other human beings and nature. This is the concept behind the establishment of Puri Brata, a picturesque and serene sanctuary located a mere 4 km from Yogyakarta’s South Beach.
