The Amalgamation of Fashion Principals in Design

8/12/2014

When fashion brands decided to reinvent themselves into hotel, resort, restaurant and bar design, the result is what could be reffered to as a harmonious hybrid. Since the opening of Palazzo Versace Queensland in Australia as the world’s first fashion branded hotel in 2000, there simply has been no stop as other famous fashion brands such as Armani, Cavalli, Dior, Gucci and many more followed. This new hybrid of design is creating a new level of luxury that is stylish yet in the form of architecture and interior design.

Bulgari as one of the oldest fashion brands in Italy has a reputable fashion culture in its design that is limited and distinctive. For over a century, the world has seen the brand creating not only beautiful and bold jewelry and luxury goods but also has seen their character displayed on architectural design. It was not a surprise when the brand decided to venture their fashion design culture more into other design principals. In 1995, Bulgari Spa was formed and this movement continued with the creation of Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Milan in 2004 – a joint venture with Marriott International. After the first hotel was born, Bulgari kept on adding to the collection by creating its first resort in Bali. Thus Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Bali was finally born in September 2006.
