Shine Bright Like a Crystal

Eleanor Roosevelt, the longest serving first lady of the United States of America, wife of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Indeed, today’s dream and the future’s reality can be spun by those who are keen enough to see an opportunity. Now, owning a hotel in a fantastic location that faces the bay in swanky Nusa Dua area is no longer a mere dream. The Crystal on the Bay might just be the very thing to whisk you towards your long awaited, dream-come-true reality.

Developed by Crystal Land Development, this luxury bay front project is situated in Nusa Dua, Bali. It is located on Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai and directly borders a mangrove forest that encloses the site’s northern side. Here the land also runs alongside a bay that faces Benoa Bay. This is a one-of-a-kind location and the hotel is the only establishment to own such a beautiful setting in the vicinity. Many business and architecture theories state that location is one of the main factors attributed to the success of a hotel, and in this case, The Crystal is one step ahead of its competitors.

Plaza Crystal & Furniture is handling the design, with Hauw Santosa as Head of Architect Team and Fidela Maidiana Santosa as the Head of Interior Design Team. The design concept makes use of a unique local feature, the mangrove trees. With the mangrove forest in mind, the father-daughter duo collaborates to weave all design aspects based on the trees that naturally grow alongside the bayside. Mangrove trees with their large aerial roots and narrow, pointy-end leaves are the main theme for this hotel.

The façade is made to appear as naturally as possible to make the building merge seamlessly with nature. Several stylized mangrove barks are lined up to create a strong vertical pattern in the façade of the hotel which is slated to have 213 rooms spread over its 6 floors. Entering the main lobby, a mangrove-inspired ornament comes into view, and the theme continues to the swimming pool on the ground floor and the rooftop area. The Crystal boasts two swimming pools, one is organic-shaped and located on the ground floor and another is an infinity edge swimming pool on the top floor. The rooftop area comes with a lounging and dining area comprising several gazebos. To add to the greenness of the hotel, the designer team creates a roof garden at the top of the building, which is designed to merge with the recreational area and other supporting facilities. The rooftop is also going to be used as a wedding venue, a plan being concocted by the management of the hotel.

According to Fidela Santosa, The Crystal is ready to function as a condotel. Buyers get loads of benefits such as a prepaid return guaranteed payment, 21-points complimentary free stay, free tickets to Bali plus accommodations and attractive profit sharing scheme, among others. In the future, Crystal Land Development will appoint StayWell Hospitality Group, an international hotel operator who has handled the management of upscale hotels in Australia and Asia, to manage The Crystal’s daily operation.

There are 7 different types of room, spread over 6 levels of the building that measures a total of 30,000 sqm. The smallest is Deluxe room with a view towards the swimming pool or the garden with a dimension of 37.7 sqm. Next are the 3 suites, the Pool Suite Jacuzzi, Bayview Suite Balcony and Bayview Suite Jacuzzi. Two penthouses add to the lavishness of The Crystal: the 110.8 sqm Crystal Penthouse Balcony and the 147.5 sqm Crystal Penthouse Jacuzzi, both overlooking the Crystal Bay.

Opulence oozes from every corner of the hotel’s interior. Impeccable layout and bespoke furniture choices combine with elegantly designed bathrooms with tubs, comfortable outdoor daybeds, bay-facing private balconies and relaxing Jacuzzi to make your dreams come true. With luxurious furniture pieces by Lillian Adams Home and brilliant lighting system by Swarovski Elements, The Crystal will undoubtedly make a name for itself amongst other hotels in its surrounding.

Many people believe only gold can cast a captivating glow and leave people awestruck. But there is also a saying that reminds us that everything that shines ain’t always gonna be gold, which is somewhat true when we consider this establishment. The glimmering beauty of crystal that casts its bright glow in Nusa Dua Bali with all its sumptuousness and natural riches that sets the tone for its background has perhaps made The Crystal on the Bay more valuable than gold.
