Look Inside the New Crystal Luxury Bay Resort in Bali

6/19/2017

The beautiful nature of Bali has offered an idyllic retreat for people from all over the world. A vast view of the sea and the tropical forest are two things that have inspired numerous artists, writers and creative people. The combination of this can be seen at the newly opened The Crystal Luxury Bay Resort, where people can enjoy nature.

The people from Crystal Land Development have kept a piece of land
in Nusa Dua, Bali for quite a long time,
as the founder, Hauw Sanstosa, wanted only the best results. Considering its location—at the side of a main road and in front of Benoa Bay—he decided to make it into a resort where he could share the experience of living at a bay front location with many people. The generous man took the lead as the head of the architectural team. He teamed up with his daughter, Fidela Maidiana Santosa, who acted as the head of the interior design team.

The father-and-daughter duo was inspired by a mangrove forest located at the back of the resort. It was incorporated in the initial design and further into the colour scheme. The inspiration is barely visible at the entrance, where there is a statue of a mangrove tree standing seven metres tall. From this area, the guests can see the mangrove forest from the balcony across the lobby.

The reception desks are located at one side of the lobby. This area has a backdrop of artwork depicting mangrove trees with decorations done by local artisans specializing in wood crafts. “Although we have set up reception desks, we tried our best to prepare the check-in process prior to the guests’ arrival, hence they need not to wait for too long to get into the room. The guests are welcomed to chill and enjoy the welcome drink at the lobby lounge while we do the check-in process,” says Sugeng Purnomo, assistant executive sales and marketing director of The Crystal Luxury Bay Resort. The lobby lounge is decorated with a contemporary design with large daybeds and rattan swings.
There are a total of 214 guest rooms

that are divided into 11 types. All of these rooms are equipped with bathtubs, while the suites and lofts have Jacuzzis. This opulent resort offers spacious rooms, starting from the 38-sqm Deluxe City View Room. Honeymooners may enjoy quality time together in a private Jacuzzi and balcony, while families can stay together in the suites and lofts. Fidela and the interior design team have paid attention to detail, as they put L-shape sofa beds in the suites to bring extra capacities into the room. Their biggest room, the three-bedroom Loft Penthouse with Jacuzzi, can hold up to ten people in the 124-sqm space. The resort has
78 guestrooms with twin beds to accommodate families and groups—each is queen size bed of 140x200cm, which can accommodate two people.

The bedrooms have an earthy colour scheme dominated by wooden elements. “We wanted the resort to blend well with the beauty of the nature in the surrounding area,” says Fidela. The wall panels and built-in furniture are covered with harmonious laminate that shows a wood texture and brings a natural ambiance into the room. The guest rooms have wide openings, thus the rooms are filled with natural daylight.

The swimming pool adapted the organic shape. The 600-sqm pool stretches from the indoor to the outdoor area. There is Payung Pool Bar where guest can hang out while enjoying cold drinks and crafted beverages by the pool. A kiddie pool is located adjacent to the main swimming pool. The children may also enjoy playing with white sand in between the daybeds. By the end of this year, the resort will open a 200-sqm swimming pool at its rooftop, along with a rooftop bar, Le Crystal Spa, a beauty salon and a function hall for weddings and gatherings.

The Mangrove All-Day Dining Restaurant is located beside the main swimming pool. It is opened from 6 a.m., serving a complimentary breakfast for the resort’s guests and is open until dinner. The menu consists of Indonesian traditional dishes and international dishes. The restaurant has an indoor dining area and a pool-side area where people can breathe the fresh air from the mangrove forest.

With a strategic location at Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai, The Crystal Luxury Bay
is only a 20 minute-drive from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The hotel offers shuttle service to surrounding beaches, including Benoa Bay and Nusa Dua Beach. Considering its strategic location, the resort is also the best spot to conduct corporate meetings and events. It has business facilities such as four meeting rooms and a ballroom, which have a separate lobby by the entrance. Here, Fidela placed an enticing wall decoration in the foyer inspired by the tropical frangipani flower that is identical with Bali’s landscape and culture. It can also be found in the meeting rooms
and ballrooms in the details, including
the carpet. These rooms are adorned
by glamorous crystal lamps that were brought from Plaza Crystal, Jakarta.

The Crystal Luxury Bay Resort has fresh air in every room. The resort
gives guests many options to pamper themselves with its bespoke service. Be it for business or leisure, The Crystal Luxury Bay Resort is an idyllic spot to enjoy nature.
