Junita Roemawi has been the head of Citi Realty Services Indonesia since September 2014. She has worked in corporate real estate for 21 years, including a national bank and a number of international banks. With such a depth of experience she is especially well qualified to create the very best working environments in the banking sector. We met her at the new Citi Indonesia Front Office to talk about the new Citi Works concept that they have applied to their new offices.
Please tell us briefly about the Citi Works’ concept.
As the Citi business becomes more globally connected – with groups communicating across geographies – we are challenged to look at how our workplace supports the new way of working. With that in mind, Citi has developed a global workplace strategy called Citi Works. The main concept of Citi Works is to provide staff with full-connectivity, more choices and flexibility through the use of advanced technology.
What kind of ambience were you aiming for in the new office?
This office is based on Citi Works’ modern and open design, which creates an inspiring ambience for our employees. We believe that this atmosphere will empower our employees to be more motivated, committed and productive.
What have been the impacts of Citi Works’ implementation?
Our Citi Works facilities have proved to enable us to achieve better collaboration and communication among our employees which has resulted in an overall higher level of productivity and staff satisfaction.
From the real estate perspective, Citi Works has allowed us to have more space and be cost efficient, and have greater agility in adapting to the continuously changing business requirements.
Please tell us about Citi Office’s LEED Certification
Environmental footprint is one of Citi’s priority, therefore our head offices fit out were carefully designed as an environmental friendly/green office.
We are proud that both Citibank South Quarter and Citibank Tower are the first commercial offices in Indonesia that obtained the LEED certification.
Citibank Tower itself just recently awarded LEED Platinum by the US Green Building Council which is the highest international rating in Green building practices.
